Attractive Towel Bar – Can Customize Length
Installed two of these 24-inch Moen towel bars. Not hard to install; just take your time to get the measurements and level correct. Tried using the paper installation guide for finding the drill locations, but found it challenging to use. Easier for me just to measure the 24 inches and mark the locations for each end. One of the areas for our towel bar was short of the 24 inches by 2-3 inches. I measured the bar and noted it was 9/16 inch shorter than 24-inches. Put some painters tape around the towel bar in the area of the cut, marked the length needed (center to center on mounting posts minus 9/16ths), and hand-cut with a 24-tpi hacksaw. Be patient with the hacksaw; the towel bar is not thin. Cleaned up the cut end a little with a metal file and turned out to be a perfect fit. Wasn’t sure if this would work well, but turned out great.

Nice towel bar – be careful with installation
Really nice towel bar. The bar itself is narrower than I expected, so just check dimensions. It’s similar to many other towel bars, I was just expecting a larger diameter bar. Installation is straight forward and easy. Only note – TEMPLATE IS PAPER AND FOLDED, so not great. Template should be on cardboard or plastic and not folded, because your drilled holes may be off. Just double check your dimensions against the actual bar and not just the template when you drill the holes.

Update- almost a year later.Still looks good, cleans well, solid and does not tarnish. Note: this is very heavy, and sticks out from the wall to accommodate large rolls of tp. Because it’s a quality steel, it’s heavy and needs to be anchored into at least one stud, or very large anchors to hold weight double the actual weight of the holder. Once installed- I recommend taking care not to ever put pressure on it, don’t pull on the holder as you unroll paper or changed out rolls. Because the tp rolls smoothly, this is not a problem. It’s just better to start using it that way, versus fixing the drywall and having to reattach it! It’s worth it. Very good looking, TRUE BRUSHED NICKEL STAINLESS with warm toned silver. It will match any other good quality brushed nickel fixture.

Pretty study, and more or less toddler proof
I bought three of these because my toddlers were always pulling out, eating, and/or losing the springs and tubes for the TP holders in my house, and large Costco-size toilet paper rolls would rub against the base of the old TP holder.What I like about these:1. These TP holders can hold any size TP roll without rubbing against the wall or the base.2. They are really study, and come with decent wall anchors. They can withstand the weight of a small child pulling up on them. Plus, there’s nothing to get lost because everything is attached to the wall. These have good weight and feel.Some notes:1. Some reviewers noted there’s play in the arm. Simple fix. As you can see from my photo, there’s no play in mine. If its loose, note that there’s an easily accessible screw visible from behind the hinge. Just tighten the screw with a screw driver until it’s tight to your liking. I like mine stiff so it can’t be spun.2. The installation allows room for error. The wall mounting plates can be adjusted both vertically and horizontally when using the included wall anchors. So even if you don’t drill your holes correctly, it’s not a problem – unless you’re really far off. Note though, if you use a wood screw to drill into the wall stud, there’s no room for error.3. This is designed a lot wider and bulkier than it need to be. If you have a small bathroom, this might not be the best choice TP holder.4. The TP rolls really easy with this holder. If you have children who like to spin TP, some things you can do; squeeze the TP before sliding it in, so it doesn’t roll very well; and slide the tp so it spins out closer to the wall – my children only like to spin stuff towards them, so this way the toilet paper doesn’t come undone from the spinning.

Matches Existing Moens Perfectly
It was easier for me to add another towel bar when the builder was being cheap. This matches the existing towel bars. Taking the time to measure carefully will result in a durable and quality installation. Take your time to install, measuring several times. Use tape to line things up.

This is a nice toilet paper holder. The included hardware is great and as long as you are careful installing it at the right distance, the holder is very easy to use.I really like the flip up system to change the roll, and it retains the roll very well.

The easiest way to replace a TP roll. Should of done this years ago. It repaced a Moen TP holder so I was able to use the same screw holes.

The diameter of the cardboard tube in the center of the rolls that are available in Australia is too small to fit over the end of the pivot post. That is: you could not get the roll on to the pivoting bar. I did not read all the reviews and later noticed that another person had had the same problem. Otherwise the roll holders would have been suitable if you want a plain, rather chunky look.

Was a little daunted about my wife’s DIY ability when I read some of the reviews. BUT, she said it was very easy to put up, it has no unsightly gaps, closes properly and is very secure. Well worth the money. Adds a touch of class to the ‘smallest room’.
