Superman 2025 Takes Us To A True Comic Book World
This Superman movie is the first time we’ve ever had a Superman movie that truly felt like it came from the comic book pages right onto the screen. Every other Superman film has been some form of realism, some way of saying “this is how Superman would be if he were actually in real life”. Instead of bringing Superman to our world, James Gunn’s Superman 2025 takes us to his. A fantasy world with a blend of all that came before, both the comics and in the world of animation and TV. It felt every bit as Superman 78 as it did Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Superman: The Animated Series, or Smallville. Mixed in with a little Justice League Unlimited as well. It is a giant love letter to comic books, to the world that is DC Comics, in all its make-believe glory. This won’t be a movie for everyone, but for those it is for it is a fantastic, enjoyable, watch filled with not just hope but most important of all, escapism.

Favorite Superhero Movie of All Time
My favorite superhero movie of all time. I got out of seeing it the second viewing in theaters and immediately bought the DVD on preorder so I can watch it as soon as its released. I may still go a third time. Enjoyable from start to finish with a great cast and superb acting.

    Worst Superman Movie ever!
Worst Superman Movie ever.Superman’s mother Mrs Kent was always an integral part in Superman’s life. In this backward version she’s not really included. It’s almost as if Lexx Luther wrote the script. A story line that makes assertions that Superman’s birth parents sent him to earth to be a conquerer deviates from all previous Superman literature. In addition, making it look like Clark is weak minded enough to believe it is laughable. So many bizarre liberties were taken in this story that’s it’s more like a parody gone wrong. The 2025 Gunn version is so out of sync with the real Superman story, his powers, family and strengths that many fans will come away thinking the director had no idea what he was doing. Absolute junk.

    Watch and decide for yourself
A hopeful and positive Superman with flaws and weaknesses. Those weaknesses being self conscious, and doubting himself. You know, being human. He is just a person trying to do the right thing in a world that expects him to be perfect. But nobody can ever truly agree on what perfection is. It is a popcorn movie with all the fluff and CGI of a summer blockbuster. But it has heart and inspiration to be good. And that is what Superman means to me. I loved this movie and I think everyone should watch it and judge for themselves

Worst Superman(boy) film but dog is cute
Horrible film, bad CGI, poor casting, supes gets beat up a lot and needs his dog to save him more than one, green lantern has a haircut only bowls would love, and terrible Supergirl (why can’t we have the one from the flash, oh right gunn is a terrible filmmaker).Oh and this isn’t even a Superman film it’s packed with useless side characters! Lots of lame jokes that aren’t needed and the suit is laughable.I do think the dog is cute though.

The Greatest Comic Book Movie Ever Made
As a lifelong fan of Superman who has read the comics (including “All-Star Superman”, “Superman: For All Seasons”, “Kingdom Come”, and even the current run), seen the films, shows, etc., I was super excited for this movie but also a little nervous. Superman didn’t have the best portrayal in the DCEU, in my opinion, and I was worried that this film not doing well would tarnish the reputation of Superman and DC as a whole.FORTUNATELY, I WAS WORRIED FOR NOTHING! This movie feels like a comic book brought to life more than any other superhero movie I’ve ever seen. The story is amazing, the cast is excellent (special shoutout to David, Rachel, and Nicholas as Superman, Lois, and Lex respectively), the action is cool, the CGI is impressive, and the core message of kindness and basic human decency being the coolest and most heroic thing anyone can do shines through this whole film. The future is bright for Superman and the DCU. Thank you, James Gunn, for showing the world why Superman is and always will be the greatest superhero of all time.
