Isolation exercises
Isolation exercises target a single muscle group. These movements are used for toning, strengthening and can be used in conjunction with compound movements.
Compound exercises
Compound exercises are movements that use several muscle groups. These are generally used for building muscle and strength but are also used in conjunction with isolation movements for a more intense training session.
Abdominal exercise
Abdominal and core strength is important for stability. Although the core is engaged in most , if not all exercises movements, it’s good practice to give the core a bit of focus.
Seated exercises
Many resistance band exercises can be adapted to seated positions. These are good for beginners and trainers who are recovering from injury, but they can also be used for more advanced trainers.

Excellent resource for a beginner to resistance band training. Lots of clear pictures and written detail to fully explain each exercise. The author provides a standard program anyone can use and more specialized programs that target specific goals. Beginners will appreciate the info on resistance band fundamentals; however, advanced will probably be disappointed that it doesn’t go beyond the basics.

An Excellent Book
This is an excellent book for training with resistance bands. It has a variety of excercises for all parts of your body so you can choose the one(s) yhat works best for you. Each exercise is explained in detail and each is illustrated. It tells you how to use resistance bands and offers a variety of programs to choose from. This book is a must for anyone planning to engage in resistance band training. Very practical and easy to ubderstand.

I am experienced using the strength training machines in a gym. This book showed me equivalent exercises using resistance bands. Now I feel comfortable using the bands when the machines are not available.
