Secure, sturdy, and super convenient
I didn’t like the phone holders with the suction cups since more times than not, they eventually fall off the glass or dashboard. Just wanted something that would hold my phone in both portrait and landscape orientation and wouldn’t jiggle loose or fall off while I’m driving.This particular holder works very well, secures the phone well by means of collapsing/tightening arms (spring loaded I believe), and hasn’t fallen out of the vent yet (Iphone 13 Pro Max with Case). Basically, you just set your phone and then squeeze the arms together (you’ll hear/feel the clicks as it tightens). To release the arms and free the phone, there’s a little quick-release button on the back side and the arms retract instantly.I’ve been very happy with the sturdiness of the holder because it’s lightweight plastic and I thought I might have issues in the cold with it cracking. But I’ve had it for a while now and it’s held up.When your phone is in the holder, be aware that you will block the vent air flow, but in the summertime, this is actually a benefit to keep the phone cool while using it, since the vent blows right on the back of the phone.Installation is super easy, just hook it in and tighten the nut and you’re good to go. The instructions are clear and no tools are needed.Any phone holder of this level is going to have some vibration issues if you drive on bumpy or uneven surfaces. I barely notice when on paved roads and even at higher speeds. My car does shake a bit (it’s older) when I reach higher speeds, but I’ve been very satisfied with the lack of vibration.As mentioned above, due to the design of this, it’s quite versatile and you can swap from portrait to landscape orientation with the flick of a wrist by rotating it 90 degrees.Definitely worth the money and performs much better than others in the same price class that I’ve used in the past. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a simple solution to holding their phones in the car.

Good for driving
I really like this mount. I’ve never had a phone mount on my air vent but this is really sturdy and I like it a lot. It holds my phone well, the size fits a Samsung Galaxy S24, it’s affordable, and easily adjustable. It’s easy to use, you just loosen, insert, and tighten. There is no adhesive or sticky part of this so you don’t have to worry about it being permanent.

I needed a phone holder quickly because my car was going into the shop for extensive bodywork, and I wasn’t sure if the rental would have Apple CarPlay. I’ve used vent-mounted holders in the past and always found them frustrating—either they fell out or damaged the vent fins. I had honestly sworn off this type of design—until I saw this one.This holder changed my mind. Installation was quick and intuitive—similar to snapping a Garmin GPS onto its mount (insert part A into the ball of part B, then tighten the nut to secure). It locks the phone in place at the angle I set, and it hasn’t budged since.A major bonus: Because it positions the phone right in front of the air vent, it helps keep my phone from overheating during hot summer drives.I took it on vacation last week and was impressed with how easily it attached and detached in a rental car. The phone drops right into the cradle, with space left for a charging cord. It’s held firmly in place by adjustable side arms that only release when you press a button on the back of the holder.Note: I tried to use it with my old Garmin Nuvi 2598LM, but it didn’t fit. This cradle is clearly designed for modern smartphones in terms of width, depth, and charging port alignment.Overall, this is a smart, well-designed phone holder that exceeded my expectations—especially for a vent mount.

They have really improved the design & functionality of the car phone holders!This one actually holds firmly, is easily put in place & removes effortlessly!And most importantly I can mount it where it makes my drive much safer than before.Best yet it cost a fraction of the cost of the old ones which were constantly falling off my dash as I drove.My thanks to the brilliant engineer who designed it!

This product has been very helpful. I drive an older car that does not have a built in GPS system. This product allows me to use apps such as Google maps while driving. It was easy to install. It is also good quality. My phone fits perfectly in the older and is easy to release with the button on the back. I would recommend this product to others.
