Back to school favorite and a great gift
A first day read aloud must for back to school. I also use them for student teacher gifts. I have the students sign the inside cover with a special note to give the the student teacher on their last day.

Great Book
I can’t wait to read this book to my new group of students. The book came really quick, so if you need a last minute book. It is a great quality for being a more paperback book. It sits perfectly on a magnetic bookshelf, so if you have one of those!

“First Day Jitters” read aloud for students
I had this book in our school library and I guess one of our students enjoyed it too. It was never returned. So, I have purchased 2, one for circulation and one to include in our read alouds for the first week of library rotation.

Cute book
Book has a cute ending. I read this with my class for the first time. It was my first time reading it along with them. We were all surprised with the ending. My students didn’t believe adults could also have jitters too which lead to a whole new conversation.

I love this book! I had to teach an RE topic on Beginnings, the first lesson of which wanted to discuss children’s own experience of new beginnings. I was trying to find a book/story to read them about a child’s first day ay school. This one is perfect, with a man trying desperately to coax Sarah-Jane out of bed and out of the house to go to her new school. Sarah-Jane is very reluctant – “What if no one likes me, what if I don’t like the new school, etc etc. The great twist at the end of the story is that Sarah-Jane is the teacher! My class loved this and asked me lots of questions about how I felt on my first day at their school.
