No fluff, no fads. Just solid info that actually makes sense
I’ve read a lot of books that claim to “change your life,” but most of them end up sounding like they were written by someone who lives on celery juice and thinks willpower is a personality trait. This book isn’t one of those.Terri breaks it down in a way that’s practical and actually doable. No crash diets, no weird supplements, and no guilt trips. Just real information backed by actual science. The section on cravings and habit loops really hit home for me. And the grocery list? Simple. Nothing expensive or impossible to find.If you’re tired of feeling like crap and want a better quality of life, this is a great place to start. I’ve already made a few changes and I’m not trying to become a fitness guru. I just want to feel better, sleep better, and be around longer for my kids. This book gets it.

Excited to get healthy!
Terri speaks to you through the pages, making reclaiming your health easier than you thought. I know many quick fixes to health are being thrown around in America, but this is the real deal. I have genetically high cholesterol, and my daughter needs to cut out all gluten for her Celiac, so this was a no-brainer to buy to get back to whole foods. I feel confident in reclaiming my health! There are no gimmicks, pseudoscience, or sales on weirdo medicines. Real food, real plans that work, and realistic timelines to reclaim your health. Also, besides the information, Terri talks to you like a real person throughout the book, and not some intellectual snob. I love that about the book; it makes it much easier to read!

Very helpful
Great book for those of us interested in keeping and improving our health. Full of practical and actionable advice that we can all use and follow. One challenge of eating right and staying fit as we age is the overwhelming amount of information to absorb, especially as we try to accommodate it to our own particular situation. This book does an excellent job of distilling information into easy to follow guidance.

Comprehensive and Easy to Follow
Terri clearly has done the research AND she walks the walk, eating a “fabulously healthy” vegan regimen. This guidebook breaks down into easy steps, just how someone eating a standard American diet (S.A.D.) can make the transition into a vegan healthy lifestyle, and I love that she includes workbook pages to make you think about the process, and help you remind yourself of your “why.”.. She understands that the first step, and often the hardest, is mindset! All of the other books I’ve ever read about any sort of dietary transition, seem to have been written from the perspective of someone who had never struggled at all with eating healthily and so their guidance seemed out of touch and not relatable. It isn’t that way with Terri! She makes everything easy to understand, and this guide is a comprehensive way to do something great for yourself – potentially resolving or at least mitigating lots of health issues, and even preventing others! Great read, especially for someone who’s previously overwhelmed with all the info that’s out there on improving your health via better nutrition.

Fabulous Health is more than a wellness book—it’s a thoughtful roadmap for anyone ready to take ownership of their health in a meaningful, sustainable way. What stood out most to me was the author’s ability to combine evidence-based advice with deep empathy. This isn’t a book that shames or overwhelms. It’s empowering, refreshingly honest, and grounded in both lifestyle medicine and lived experience. The six pillars she outlines—especially her emphasis on plant-based nutrition—are explained with clarity, warmth and a sense of possibility. There’s no preaching here, just well-researched insights and supportive encouragement. I appreciated how the book acknowledges that transformation takes time, but offers practical tools and mindset shifts that make it feel achievable.Whether you’re just starting out or recommitting to your health journey, this book meets you where you are. It feels like having a wise, compassionate coach in your corner who truly wants you to thrive.Highly recommended for anyone looking to create long-term change—without compromising joy, balance or self-kindness.

WOW, I’m speechless. After spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars on “Health” books over the years trying to understand the ‘big picture” I’ve finally found what I have been looking for. This book is simply an end-to-end approach to good health and living a happy life. No preaching, no magical solutions, just good common sense explained in a simple and easy to understand manner. Once you have read this book you will understand. You may not choose to follow it, but at least you will know why your unhealthy, stressed and generally not a happy/active/satisfied person. It’s up to you. Thank you Terri Chisman for making me understand why I was what I was. Thank you for the extra energy I now have, thankyou for weight loss, thank you for clarity, and most especially, thank you for getting me of the endless roller-coaster of lethargy, medication and doctors’ visits. PS. Its now been 2 months of the ‘new me” . TThere really is a light at the end of the tunnel. God Bless.

If you’re sick of all the well-fluencers telling you to consume things that don’t sound like they don’t belong in your mouth or body, pick up this book. Chrisman shows you how avoiding diseases with healthy eating and other habits don’t have to be so complicated: eat with nutrition in mind, learn to veganize your favorite recipes, and stay laser-focused on your goals.
