Love this matt more that the more expensive one that I had. I do hot yoga and I do not slip on it.When I got it, it didn’t seem very thick but I really like the way it feels under my hands and feet.I did not notice any smell, but I did roll it out for awhile to help flatten.

Nice and thick
This is the best yoga mat I’ve got. I bought this when I took a yoga class during one semester at college and it was worth it. I previously had one of those thin ones and it would feel like I was directly on the floor. This one is thick enough to cushion you and not hurt you as you’re doing your poses.

Yarp:-The thickness over my previous mat (which looks to be only 2-3mm) is a huge improvement. My bony joints need the gap from the concrete floors I sometimes practice on.-The thickness isn’t like a 1/4″ foam rubber mat. This one is firm and comfortable without being squishy, important for those Warrior 3, Eagle, and other balancing poses.-The grip is very good, not quite like a recycled rubber surface but markedly better than those beaded PVC mats. My old [PVC] mat would start slipping once the sweat began drizzling, and this new one has yet to.Narp:-Not cat claw resistant; until a steel-belted vulcanized rubber version is released, none probably are

Great quality for the price!
Great yoga mat for the price. I have been using it for Hot Pilates and it does not slip on the bottom at all. Highly recommend if you are looking for something quality and cheap!

Works well for my Yoga, Pilates, and exercise classes
This is the first yoga mat I’ve purchased as I am new to Yoga and Pilates. I don’t do hot yoga and haven’t sweat on it (yet), so I can’t speak about that aspect of the mat. The purple color is pretty and the top of the mat has a nice texture on it. It didn’t emit any smell when I first opened it. The mat is a nice size and is comfortable to use. The included shoulder strap is a nice feature for toting it around to classes. Can’t think of anything I don’t like about it, so I will highly recommend. 🙂

Soft and thick
I really like how thick and soft this mat was. It was long enough for me when I tried a yoga class and rolls up quick and the strap makes it easy to carry. I have only used it a handful of times but I like it!

Cool color but you slip in hot yoga
This is one of the least grippy mats I have used. I have to use a towel in hot yoga. I had an expensive no-slip mat that I liked much better, but when that one was destroyed in a Hurricane I bought a cheaper one ($30 – $40). I would like to have a really nice mat again that doesn’t require a towel for hot yoga.
