Gibsie and Claire ❤️
Audiobook review⭐4/5I’ve always loved a good friends-to-lovers story, and this book delivered it amazingly. Claire and Gibsie have carried feelings for each other since childhood, and seeing them finally act on those feelings was incredibly satisfying. Their love story felt precious and pure—a bond nurtured over time that blossomed into something truly beautiful.Gibsie is such a deeply lovable character. I just wanted to reach into the pages and hug him—to ease his pain and help him heal. He was battling inner demons, and when his past was finally revealed… I was in pieces. Completely and utterly shattered. The emotional weight of his backstory hit hard. And just when I thought Shannon’s dad was the most detestable character ever—Mark shows up. That man is pure evil, and I hope Chloe gives him exactly the punishment he deserves.Claire, as always, is a sweetheart. I’ve admired her from the beginning for being such a loyal friend to Shannon. But in this book, she shines even more. Her love for Gussie was unwavering—she was his partner in crime, the yin to his yang, his true soulmate.Yes, she made a mistake revealing the truth about Caoimhe. It was wrong, and it had consequences. But it didn’t come from a place of malice, and she clearly carried guilt for it. She suffered too—and I felt that pain with her.As always, the friendships in this world are everything. My sweet Johnny—how he hurt for Gibsie. He stood by him through the worst, supporting him unconditionally. He’s the definition of a true best friend, and I love him even more for it.Jacqueline Milne and Matthew Forsythe did a phenomenal job with the narration. The emotional highs and lows in their voices made it feel like they were living the story themselves. Their performance pulled me in completely—I couldn’t stop listening. This book was emotional, raw, and deeply moving. I don’t know what’s going to happen in the next books, but I’m here for it. Rooting for Chloe and the amazing world she created.

Funny, sweet, emotional, major plot twist
First off, I LOVED this book!! It was literally amazing!! I loved how we got so much content from all of the characters! Claire and Gerard are the sweet couple in the world. They are quite literally soulmates 🥹. I just LOVE them together!Second, I was NOT expecting the plot twist. My heart is seriously broken. Like how am I supposed to move on after that??⚠️spoilers ahead⚠️There’s a couple reasons why I didn’t give it 5⭐️:1. By the end, I do feel like I had some unanswered questions. Like what happened to Mark? Did they ever find him? Was he brought to justice? Will we find that out in the next book??2. Lizzy’s behavior was a little too much. I am disappointed that her character redemption will have to be in future books. I left this book with even more disdain towards her for obvious reasons.

Claire-bear & Gerard forever <3
♾️ stars for claire and gibsie!!!MY BABIES!!! I love Claire and Gibsie so much, this book did not disappoint! This entire series is etched into my heart forever. these characters are so special and the found family that they all have is everything. I can’t wait for the rest of the series.words cannot describe how much i love these characters!! claire is the epitome of sunshine and gibsie is her other half in every way. these two were made for each other, nobody else could match their energy. this book had me kicking my feet giggling one minute and crying the next. i loved getting glimpses of moments from the past, seeing how these best friends who love each other so deeply have gotten to where they are. there are so many parts of themselves they hide from everyone else but can always be their true selves with each other. claire-bear and her gerard, they’re truly each other’s person in every sense of the word.gibsie is a flirt and he’s always the friend ready to make a joke out of anything, always putting on a mask so nobody can see how he’s really feeling underneath. claire is the only one that’s able to break down his walls just to get a glimpse in. their friendship is so special and it’s clear how much love they have for each other, their love has always meant more but the risk of jeopardizing their friendship has been too much. for them, it always has been and always will be each other, they are soulmates.claire is strong willed and always going to stand up for what she believes is right (even if she doesn’t always go about it in the best way). she loves fiercely and isn’t afraid to show it.there is so much heartache in these books, but also so much love and laughter. having moments where gibsie and claire are taking care of their cat family are a breath of fresh air after everything else these characters go through.the found family in this series is everything, i love seeing how much johnny loves gibsie like a brother. seeing johnny and shannon thriving is everything and joey and aoife with their little family make my heart happy. these characters feel like home to me and im so excited for everyone to experience claire and gibsie’s love.i cant wait for the next book, my tissue box is ready!

This book was my most anticipated read for 2024 and oh boy… 🫠I’m not going to give a synopsis on this one, simply because I know there are still soooo many peeps who are eager to read it and I don’t want to give any spoilers 🤐 what I will say is that there are parts of the book that could be triggering, including suicide and childhood sexual abuse. Not gonna lie, it did take me a bit to get into it. While (in my opinion) it was not as epic as Johnny Kav or Joe Lynch’s books, it was still a very good read. I feel that it resolved a lot of unanswered questions that came from the other books, especially about Gibsie, Claire, Lizzie and Hugh. While Gibsie was not one of my fav’s from the other books, I now have a much greater appreciation for him and the relationship between him and Claire-bear 💙I feel in my heart by the end of this book that it won’t be the last in the Boys Of Tommen series and I look forward to reading the next book (maybe Hugh’s??) when it is written/released.

To say I’m a book worm would be to say that The Rock or Arnold Schwarzenegger enjoy light exercise.I live and breathe my favourite books, and have been looking forward to reading Gibsie & Claire’s story for over 4 years. At this point, I have come up with many different scenarios and stories in my head, but not one holds a candle to Taming 7.I expected some of the twists and turns, but absolutely did not forsee some of the most impactful moments of their story. From the moment I first experienced the B.O.Tommen world, I have adored both Gerard Gibsie, with all of his hilarious antics, and his friendship with his Claire Bear.Their relationship is serious #friendshipgoals: the way they are there for one another, always showing up – no matter what; never judge one another; are loyal to one another above all else; get and understand one another better than anyone else; know when to push, when to provide distraction, and when to provide safety – a safe place to fall. That, plus their banter was a solid 100. They could be utterly hilarious, arguing about the most ridiculous of things one moment, and in the next breath be holding hands and providing support and sanctuary. With one look, they knew what the other needed. I wish I had a ride or die like #Clisby (<- that was obviously created by Gibs, lol). That said, there were uncharted waters for them in Taming 7, where they both had to learn and grow, which is never easy.Plus the Gibs Kav bromance is still going strong, and, believe it or not, gets even better. Their bromance is one for the ages. There was also the added element of dealing with some vicious bullying from within their own group, forcing there to be battle lines drawn and crossed, which will surely play a huge part in the coming books. And whilst the book showed us how Johnny, Shannon, Joey, Aoife, and the lynch kids were healing, growing, and thriving, it also provided the friendship goals, banter/ craic, and raw emotion I've come to expect from Walsh's world in Cork. Seeing how much Shannon is coming out of her shell, how much more confident she is, and seeing Joey more settled, content and seemingly more at peace was beautiful and made me so happy. Both getting the better life they deserve.I did not, however, expect to spend hours sobbing uncontrollably, as part of this book is harrowing. Harrowing, I tell you. What one of the characters has endured - with a smile to hide it all, no less - is astounding, their strength and kindness as inspiring as it is heart breaking - gut wrenchingly heart breaking.I thought Walsh had packed her biggest punch with the Lynch's. I was wrong. I was so, so wrong. So obviously, I will be rereading the entire series with my newly gained knowledge and perspective, already knowing my mind is going to be blown (whilst most likely using up another packet of Kleenex) all over again from the strength and compassion I was shown in Taming 7.Hats off to you, once again, Chloe Walsh.Your imagination is a wonderful thing, and I'm so grateful that you share it with us.The writing was beautiful, and I love that you hardly ever use "said/ says", but enhance your books by being more descriptive and not relying on repetitive words. It truly elevates your work and makes the experience as a reader much deeper, I feel more connected to the characters partly because of how you write the dialogue. How you write makes me feel every word, every feeling, every moment, and that is both phenomenal and painful. I have always said that my favourite books have to make me *feel*, and BOT has never not done that. The characters are also incredibly realistic. Their thoughts processes, their feelings, their humour, their demons, their hopes, fears and dreams, it all comes across like reading real people rather than characters in a book. I have never experienced the realness of characters in any other books or book series. I cannot tell you enough how rare and talented that is.I cannot wait to see where the next installment goes, what journey it takes us on.To anyone who hasn't read the Boys Of Tommen yet: you should. Do yourself a favour and discover both a new favourite series and an immensely talented author. You've been missing out on an immersive, fun, genuine and emotional book world.
