Customers say
Customers find this yoga book to be one of the most useful they’ve purchased, with great photos throughout. The yoga poses are well-organized, with one customer noting how they’re grouped for warm-up purposes, and another mentioning the variety of routines available. The book is easy to follow, with one review highlighting its clear text explanations, and customers appreciate the short routines that range from 5 to 18 minutes.

Well designed Yoga reference for you action-sports peeps
This is a great book, I went ahead and adapted it for spiral-bound (as I’m blessed with the tools), as having it open for making your own yoga plan is clutch. As I don’t need a group yoga setting to get my stretch in, this is a fantastic book for my action-sports lifestyle. Strength and flexibility are super important as you age, so this is a resource you should just add to your cart and buy.

Very good book to get Yoga into your workouts
This book has a lot of different routines you can work out with. Short routines 5-18 minutes or longer routines up to 30 minutes as well as lots of informative photos and how to do instructions of each yoga pose that is in the book. In addition there are suggestions for people who want to keep working out with weights, etc. And if you just want to target one body part at a time there are routines for that also. The variety is very good. Highly recommend this book for people who want to get more flexibility into their workout routines.

Usually don’t write a lot of reviews
Felt compelled to offer this brief review. This book is well written and thorough even when being succinct. Have worked out in various forms, off and on, for a very long time. This is one of the most useful books have ever purchased, illustrations are well done, routines are presented in easy to follow collections. Do not have the writing skills to share just how satisfied I am with Mr. Pohlman’s book on YOGA.

A Little Hard to Navigate, But Useful Once You Learn It
I’m still trying to make sense of the way the book is broken up. The first several chapters are dedicated to what poses for what goals, and some have a range of pictographs and some just have a list with pages to refer to. The second half of the book is the most useful, with a breakdown of how to properly perform each pose.I’ve tried perusing it, but there’s just a lot of flipping back and forth, so it’s hard to get into a rhythm in the workout. This is mostly going to be for reference, and you’re going to have to stop and start a lot while you figure out what will and won’t work for you before coming up with a regime.

Limitless yoga
I love the fact that the yoga poses are grouped to meet warm-up, conditioning or cool-down needs; address different parts of the body or full body; meet the needs of endurance or resistance athletes. Best of all, the exercises can be from a short 10 minutes or as long as you have time for by stringing the workouts together. The descriptions of poses are detailed with photos and tips. Excellent book to supplement anyone looking to insert flexibility, strength or mobility workouts to ensure longevity in whatever sports one is engaged in.

Packed
The book covers so much, it is a bit intimidating, but it presents different ways/perspectives depending on what you want to accomplish. Well worth the money.

Highly Recommend!
Absolutely love this book. It does a great job of explaining with both text and photos how to do different poses and what each pose is good for. The addition of variations you can do with each pose is much appreciated. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is new to yoga as well as those who want to improve in their sport.

This is a great addition to Dean’s Yoga program
I have 4 of Dean Pohlman’s DVD and his first book, “Yoga Fitness for Men”. I find the books are a good way to focus on getting each pose right and knowing what to strive for with muscle groups, while the DVD’s help with timing of a work out. The new book gives a nice organization of how to do poses and and how to link them to focus on different goals and body issues. Thanks, Dean.

Workouts that perfectly fill the gap between my hectic hockey, cricket, running and gym schedule allowing me to focus on the gaps my other training doesn’t hit

This book is excellent for newbies. Many routines in it for all your needs from 5 minute warm ups to 10 minute cooldowns and even full body routines for 30 minutes if you like. Excellent starter book. Everything you need with no fluff.

Similar al anterior yoga for men, traen casi lo mismo. No me convenció pensé era un trabajo específico para personas que van a gym.

This book was truly written with an athlete in mind! I have tried many classes and it has never clicked for me. With the help of this book I can now see where I will use it for warmups, how to sync the breathe better and where I will use it for recovery purposes.
